SOME EFFORTS IN IMPROVING THE GERMAN SPEAKING SKILL OF THE SOCIAL PROGRAM 11th GRADERS OF SMA NEGERI 1 MINGGIR SLEMAN THROUGH THE SHORT MOVIE HALLO DEUTSCHSCHULE

Abstract


The aims of this research were to improve: (1) the achievement of learning skill of German speaking skill of 11thgraders of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Slemaan through the short movie Hallo Deutschschule, and (2) the learning motivation of 11thgraders of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Sleman through the short movie Hallo Deutschschule. This research was a classroom action research. In this research researcher and teacher collaborate to determine the strategies. The subject of this research were the 11thgraders of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Sleman . The analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative. There are two cycles in the classroom action research and each cycles consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The success indicators of this research were (1) product success nd (2) process success. The success of the product was seen from the improvement of students’ speaking achievement in German language. The success of the process was seen  from the improvement of students’ German learning motivation. The result of the research showed that (1) there is 89,66% improvement in German language speaking achievement of 11thgraders of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Sleman through the short movie Hallo Deutschschule  and (2) there is 70,34% learning motivation improvement from 11thgraders of SMA Negeri 1 Minggir Sleman through the short movie Hallo Deutschschule.
