THE EFFORT IN IMPROVING THE READING OF THE GERMAN TEXTE FOR THE GRADERS OF SMA NEGERI 1 SEDAYU BANTUL THROUGH THE TECHNIQUE OF NUMBEREDHEADS TOGETHER

Abstract


 The purpose of this study was to improve (1) the activeness of class X students of Sedayu Bantul 1 Public Senior High School using Numbered Heads Togeteher technique, and (2) the learning achievement of German text reading skills of class X students of Sedayu Bantul Senior High School 1 using Numbered Heads Togeteher technique . This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The strategy in this study is collaboratively determined between researchers, educators and educators. The subject of this study was class X MIA Sedayu State High School 1 Bantul. Analysis of research data using qualitative descriptive. Classroom action research consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Indicators of success in this study, namely (1) the success of the process and (2) the success of the product. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is an increase in the activeness of students of class X IPA 1 Sedayu Bantul Senior High School through Numbered Heads Togeteher technique of 22.43%, and (2) there is an increase in the achievement of German text reading skills of students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul through the Numbered Heads Togeteher technique of 92.86%. The average value of reading skills in German language is increased. The increase in the average value of 10.53% is from 77.95 before being given an action to be 88.48 after being given an action.
