IMPLEMENTASI NILAI-NILAI KEPEMIMPINAN KH. AHMAD DAHLAN DALAM PROSES PEMBELAJARAN IPS DI MADRASAH MU’ALLIMIN MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


Leadership values in this country have begun to fade. The government has made efforts to such a problem by issuing policies on character education, one of whose contents is the inculcation of leadership values. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the implementation of KH Ahmad Dahlan’s leadership values in the Social Studies learning process at Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This was a qualitative study using the naturalistic approach. The research subjects were the Social Studies teacher and students of Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The technique to enhance the data trustworthiness was the triangulation technique. The data analysis technique was the interactive analysis technique. The results of the study show that KH Ahmad Dahlan’s leadership values have been implemented in the Social Studies learning process at Madrasah Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The negotiation value in making a decision is implemented by the way the teacher considers the students’ opinions when concluding the results of discussions and learning. The leading value is implemented through the action the teacher does in leading the prayer before learning. When asking the students to study, the teacher will accompany them. During the discussion, the teacher asks the students to listen to others’ opinions. When the students express their opinions, the teacher also listens to them. Besides, the leading value is implemented through the action the teacher does in tidying up and cleaning the classroom when asking the students to tidy up and clean the classroom. The value of willingness to sacrifice for the public interest is implemented by the way the teacher provides the students’ learning tools and equipment. Another form of the implementation of the value of willingness to sacrifice is that the teacher is willing to explain the materials outside the class hours.
