INCREASING STUDENTS CREATIVITY AND LEARNING OUTCOMES ON FOTOGRAFI DIGITAL IN XI MULTIMEDIA 1 SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 YOGYAKARTA USING COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL JIGSAW

Abstract


The purposes of this study were to (1) describe steps of cooperative learning model Jigsaw to increase students creativity in XI Multimedia SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta on Fotografi Digital and (2) describe steps of cooperative learning model Jigsaw to increase students learning outcomes in XI Multimedia SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta on Fotografi Digital. This study is a Classroom Action Research which is developed by Kemmis & McTaggart and consists of two cycles. The subjects of this study were 39 students of XI MM 1 in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta on Fotografi Digital. The objects of this study were students creativity and learning outcomes as results of learning activities using cooperative learning model Jigsaw. Data collection method used in this study were observation, lab work test, documentation, and field note. This study was coducted in 2 cycles where each cycle consisted of 2 learning sessions. Data analysis technique used in this study was descriptive qualitative. In this study, researcher was collaborating with teacher of Fotografi Digital. Researcher acted as observer and with the help of 3 partners observed and recorded students behaviour during learning sessions. While the teacher acted as teacher like usual using model Jigsaw. The results of this study showed that applying cooperative learning model Jigsaw can increase (1) students creativity on Fotografi Digital in XI MM 1 SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta which was proven by the increase of students creativity from 38,68% in pre-cycle to 75,11% in cycle I to 82,59% in cycle II and (2) students learning outcomes which was proven by the increase of average learning outcomes from 76,44 in pre-cycle to 79,62 in cycle I to 82,95 in cycle II.
