DEVELOPMENT OF LIBRARY INFORMATION SYSTEM BASED ON WEB IN SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 WATES

Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to develop an information system to facilitate the job of librarian and visitors at the library of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wates; (2) to test the feasibility of the system that was developed at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Wates. The methodology of this research was Research and Development (R&D). Development model of this information system was waterfall model. The findings of this research were (1) a web-based library information system was built using framework CodeIgniter with two users, they are admin and user in which each of them has different access rights; (2) the test result showed that the system has met ISO 9126 quality requirement on aspect of (1) functionality with the value = 1 (good); (2) reliability = 100% (success); (3) usability = 86.8% (very feasible); (4) efficiency = 81.5 (grade B); (5) maintainability = 67.3 (medium); (6) portability reached the system was successfully ran in some web browsers.
