Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 1 Sungapan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran Group Investigation. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes dan angket respon
siswa. Analisis data dilaksanakan dengan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh, dapat diketahui bahwa pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sungapan. Aktivitas siswa pra siklus meningkat dari (40,54%) ke (66,49%) siklus I dan meningkat (89,70%) pada siklus II. Hasil belajar rata-rata IPA meningkat dari pra siklus (70,63) ke (77,4) siklus I dan meningkat lagi (82,43) pada siklus II. Tuntas belajar klasikal pra siklus meningkat dari (36,67%) ke (66,67%) siklus I dan (86,67%) pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research aims at improving fifth grade students’ science activity and learning achievement in SD Negeri 1 Sungapan after the performance of Group Investigation learning model in classroom. This research was classroom action research and used Group Investigation as learning model. The data collecting
techniques were test, observation, and students’ response questionnaire. The data analytic techniques were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The result shows that Group Investigation model can improve fifth grade students’ science activity and learning achievement in SDN 1 Sungapan. The students’ activity increased from deficient category (40,54%) in pre cycle to sufficient category (66,49%) in cycle I and increased again to excellent category (89,70%) in cycle II. The students’ average learning achievement increased from sufficient category (70,63) in pre cycle to excellent category (77,4) in cycle I and increased again to excellent category (82,43) in cycle II. The classical learning completeness increased from deficient category (36,67%) in pre cycle to sufficient category (66,67%) in cycle I and excellent category (86,67%) in cycle II.
