PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS IV DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE PENEMUAN TERBIMBING

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SD dalam pembelajaran IPA melalui
penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaborasi.
Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan skala sikap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
penerapan metode penemuan terbimbing dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa kelas
IV. Pada pra tindakan, siswa yang mencapai minimal kategori tinggi sebanyak 3 siswa (9,38%). Pada siklus I
menjadi 12 siswa (37,50%) diikuti dengan tercapainya 4 indikator motivasi belajar. Perbaikan yang dilakukan yaitu
1) siswa dibagi menjadi 7 kelompok, 2) penataan tempat duduk dibuat U, 3) LKS dilengkapi gambar, dan 4)
membuat peraturan belajar. Pada siklus II, meningkat menjadi 21 siswa (65,63%) diikuti dengan tercapainya 6
indikator motivasi belajar. Perbaikan yang dilakukan yaitu 1) Memberikan pertanyaan open-ended, dan 2)
Menyajikan video dan gambar. Pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 31 siswa (96,88%). Peningkatan juga diikuti
dengan tercapainya seluruh indikator motivasi belajar.

Abstract
This research aims at improving elementary school students’ motivation in learning science using guided
discovery method. This research was a collaboration classroom action research. Collecting data techniques used
observation method and attitude scale. The results shows that the implementation of guided discovery method in
science can improve students’ motivation in fourth grade students. In the pre-action, there are 3 students who
reaced high category minimum as much as 9,38%. In the first cycle, increase to 12 students who reached high
category minimum as much as 37,50%. It is followed by the achievement of four indicators of learning motivation.
There are revisions done by researcher, 1) students are devided into 7 group, 2) U shape seat arrangement, 3)
pictured worksheet, and 4) learning rules. In the second cycle, increase to 21 students who reached high category
minimum as much as 65,63%. It is followed by the achievement of six indicators of learning motivation. There are
revisions done by researcher in third cycle, 1) giving open-ended questions, and 2) providing videos and pictures.
In the third cycle, increase to 31 students who reached high category minimum as much as 96,88%. The
improvement is also followed by the achievement of all the learning motivation indicators.
