PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN LITERASI INFORMASI IKLAN MENGGUNAKAN COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada literasi informasi iklan melalui metode Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) pada peserta didik kelas V SDN Nyaen I Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK model Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Nyaen I berjumlah 32. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara studi pendahuluan, observasi, catatan lapangan, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode CIRC dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan hasil keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada literasi informasi iklan. Peningkatan proses ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya persentase keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran., sedangkan peningkatan hasil ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata kelas dan peningkatan jumlah peserta didik lulus KKM. Rata-rata kelas pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 6,25 dengan rincian 40,625% peserta didik lulus KKM, sedangkan rata-rata pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 7,50 dengan rincian 81,25% peserta didik lulus KKM.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of learning process and the result of reading comprehension skill in advertising information literacy using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method of the Nyaen I Elementary school students who are in 2019/2020 fifth grade school year. The type of this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) by Kemmis and Taggart. The subjects of this study are 32 fifth grade students of Nyaen I Elementary School. Data collection methods that were used in this study were interview of preliminary study, observation, field notes, test, and documentation. The data analysis methods were qualitative descriptive method and quantitative descriptive method. The result of this study shows that the use of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method is able to improve the quality of learning process and the result of reading comprehension skills in advertising information literacy. The improvement of the quality of learning process is shown by the increase of implementation of learning process percentage. Besides, the result improvement of reading comprehension skills in advertising information literacy is shown by the increase of grade point average and the increase number of students who pass the minimum learning mastery standard. The grade point average in phase I is increased to 6.25 with 40.625% students pass the minimum learning mastery standard. In the phase II, the grade point average is increased to 7.50 with 81.25% students pass the minimum learning mastery standard.
