PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPS MENGGUNAKAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN COURSE REVIEW HORAY

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar IPS menggunakan metode pembelajaran Course Review Horay pada siswa kelas V B SD N Pundung Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V B SD N Pundung Bantul yang berjumlah 29 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan skala psikologi. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan skala motivasi belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode course review horay dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS. Hasil skala motivasi belajar IPS siswa pada pra siklus adalah 66% dengan kriteria sedang, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 72% dengan kriteria sedang, dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 84% dengan kriteria tinggi.

Abstract

This study was aimed to improve motivation in learning social studies by using the Course Review Horay learning method for 5th B grade students of SD N Pundung Bantul. This type of the study is action research, it was using a model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The subject of this study was 5th B grade students of SD N Pundung Bantul, there are 29 students. The data collection techniques were used observation and psychology scale. The data collection instruments were used observation sheets and motivation learning scale. The data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive data analysis and qualitative descriptive. The result of the study was showed that the use of Course Review Horay method could improve students’ learning motivation to learn social studiesl. The result of students’ motivation learning to learn social studies scale in pre-action were 66% include medium category, then there wss an increasing in the first cycle to 72% include medium category, then it has the great increasingly in the second cycle of the action to 84% include high category.
