PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA MELALUI METODE ROLE PLAYING (BERMAIN PERAN) SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan (2) meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui metode bermain peran pada siswa kelas V SD N Gembongan Sentolo Kulon Progo. Desain penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) kolaborasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD N Gembongan Sentolo Kulon Progo dengan jumlah 27 siswa. Skenario penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis Mc. Taggart yang meliputi: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan dan observasi, serta (3) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: (1) observasi, (2), wawancara, (3) tes, dan (4) dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan berbicara pada siswa kelas V SD N Gembongan Sentolo. Peningkatan proses pembelajaran berbicara ditampakkan dengan siswa lebih senang, aktif dan antusias dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Peningkatan keterampilan berbicara juga ditunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai keterampilan berbicara (1) sklus I rata-rata awal 69.37 menjadi 78.15 (2) siklus II nilai rata-rata menjadi 87.53. jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM semula hanya 40.74% pada siklus I menjadi 66.67% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 96.30%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning process and improve speaking skills through role playing methods in fifth grade of Gembongan Elementary School, Sentolo Kulon Progo. The design of this research is Classroom Action Research Collaboration. The subject of this study are fifth grade student of Gembongan Elementary School, Sentolo Kulon Progo with total 27 students. This research scenario refers to the Kemmis Mc. Taggart model which include: 1) planning, (2) act and observation, and (3) reflect. Data collection techniques used in this study are: (1) observation, (2) interview, (3) test, and (4) documentation. Data analyis techniques use qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. The result of the study shows that role playing method can improve learning process and speaking skill in fifth grade Gembongan Elementary School, Sentolo Kulon Progo. The Improvement in learning process of speaking was expressed by cheerful, active, and enthusiastic student on participating in the learning process. The Improvement in speaking skills was also indicated by an enhancement on speaking skills (1) First cycle average value were 69.37 to 78.15, (2) Second cycle average value to 87.53..The number of students who reached KKM was initially 40.74% in cycle I to 66.67% and in Second Cycle it increased to 96.30%.
