PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER MANDIRI MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER PRAMUKA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka dalam membentuk karakter mandiri siswa Pramuka penggalang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, pembina Pramuka, guru penyusun kurikulum, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Hubberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perencanaan kegiatan Pramuka dalam membentuk karakter mandiri siswa sudah lengkap berupa visi misi, kurikulum, ekstrakurikuler sekolah, program ekstrakurikuler Pramuka, sarana, prasarana, dan dana pendukung kegiatan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Pramuka menggunakan berbagai metode kepramukaan. Metode belajar sambil melakukan digunakan untuk kegiatan penyampaian materi, permainan, menjahit kain, penggunaan tongkat, baris-berbaris, tali-temali, panitia Ramadhan, dan panitia Qurban. Metode kegiatan alam terbuka digunakan untuk kegiatan jelajah alam dan kemah. Evaluasi kegiatan Pramuka meliputi evaluasi sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Faktor pendukung kegiatan Pramuka meliputi pembina Pramuka, siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Faktor penghambat meliputi pembina Pramuka, siswa, cuaca buruk, pola asuh, dan lingkungan.

Abstract

This study aims at describing the Scout extracurricular program in the making of self-reliance character of Scout Penggalang students. This study used qualitative descriptive methods. The subject of this study were headmaster (po headmistress), Scoutmaster, curriculum-organizer, and students. The data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used was Miles & Hubberman interactive model. The result of the study shows that Scout program’s planning in the making of self-reliance character was already complete. There were vision and mission, curriculum, school’s extracurricular programs, Scout extracurricular program, means, infrastructures, and programs fund. The implementation of Scout program used many scouting methods. Learning-by- Doing method were used to deliver materials, games, sewing, stick using, marching, knotting, Ramadhan committee, and Qurban committee. Outdoor activity method were used in nature roaming and camping. The Scout program evaluations including attitude, knowledge, and skills. The Scout supporting factors were Scoutmasters, students, parents, and community. The Scout inhibiting factors were Scoutmasters, students, bad weather, parenting, and environment.
