PENINGKATAN PERCAYA DIRI MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan percaya diri dalam pembelajaran IPS melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SD kelas V. Teknik analisis data adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan percaya diri siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share. Percaya diri siswa pada pra tindakan memiliki rata-rata skor perolehan 81,46 dengan 9 siswa atau 37,5% memperoleh kategori percaya diri ≥ tinggi, meningkat menjadi rata-rata skor perolehan 89,92 dengan 16 atau 66,66% siswa memperoleh kategori percaya diri ≥ tinggi pada siklus I, meningkat kembali menjadi rata-rata skor perolehan 91,96 dengan 18 atau 75% siswa memperoleh kategori percaya diri ≥ tinggi pada siklus II, dan meningkat kembali menjadi rata-rata skor perolehan 96,5 dengan 24 atau 100% siswa memperoleh kategori percaya diri ≥ tinggi di siklus III.

Abstract

This research aims at improving self-confidence through “think pair share” cooperative learning. The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR). The subject were students at grade V. The data analysis techniques were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research show that the implementation of “think pair share” cooperative learning can improve student’s self-confidence. The average score of students’ self confidence before the action was 81.46 with 9 students or 37.5% classified as ≥ highly confident. It increased to 89.92 with 16 students or 66.66% classified as ≥ highly confident in cycle I and increased again to 91.96 with 18 students or 75% classified as ≥ highly confident in cycle II. At last, the average score of students’ self-confidence increased to 96.5 with 24 students or 100% classified as ≥ highly confident in cycle III.
