PENERAPAN METODE PERMAINAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas V SDN Gedongkiwo melalui penerapan metode permainan dalam pembelajaran IPA. Minat belajar siswa dilihat dari antusiasme, rasa ingin tahu, perhatian, partisipasi aktif, menghargai pendapat, dan ketekunan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Gedongkiwo, Kecamatan Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V berjumlah 24 siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang dilaksanakan dengan guru kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu pengamatan dan skala minat. Validitas instrumen dilakukan melalui expert judgement. Teknik analisis data berupa teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan minat belajar siswa kelas V SDN Gedongkiwo dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkat. Pada siklus I, menunjukkan bahwa 87,50% siswa mencapai kategori baik. Hasil angket yaitu 100% mencapai kategori baik. Pada siklus II menunjukkan bahwa 95,80% mencapai kategori baik.

Abstract

This study aims to improved the learning interest of the fifth grade students of Gedongkiwo Elementary School through the application of game methods in science learning. Student learning interest is seen from enthusiasm, curiosity, attention, active participation, respect for opinions, and perseverance. The research was carried out at Gedongkiwo Elementary School. The research subjects were 24 V class students. This type of research was classroom action research with the Kemmis and Mc models. Taggart implemented with class teachers. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Data collection techniques are observation and interest scale. Instrument validity is done through expert judgment. Data analysis techniques are quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the learning interest of the fifth grade students of Gedongkiwo Elementary School in science learning could increase. In cycle I, shows that 87.50% of students achieved good categories. Questionnaire results are 100% in good category. In cycle II shows that 95.80% achieved good category.
