PENGARUH MINAT BACA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD SE-GUGUS KUSUMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh antara minat baca terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Populasi pada penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD se-Gugus Kusuma Kecamatan Karanganyar yang berjumlah 101 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan minat baca terhadap hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas V di SD se-Gugus Kusuma Kecamatan Karanganyar Kabupaten Kebumen. Besarnya koefisien regresi yaitu 0,144. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi minat baca maka semakin tinggi hasil belajar IPS siswa. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah minat baca maka semakin rendah hasil belajar IPS siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed to explain the influence of reading interest on the social study learning outcomes student grade five Elementary School. This research used  quantitative approach with ex post facto type. The population was all of students at the fiveth grade of Elementary School in Kusuma Cluster, which consists of 101 students. Data collected method were using Likert Scale. Data analysis technique used simple regression alayze. The result of this research implied that there was a positive and significant influence given by interest of reading to social study learning outcomes students grade five Elementary School of Kusuma Cluster. The magnitude of coefficient was 0,144. The higher reding interest, then the higher social study learning outcomes of students. Conversely, the lower reading interset, then the lower social study learning outcomes of students.
