PENINGKATAN MINAT BELAJAR DAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES IPA MELALUI MODEL DISCOVERY

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar dan keterampilan proses IPA melalui model pembelajaran discovery. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Terbahsari. Objek penelitian ini yaitu minat belajar dan keterampilan proses IPA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui skala, tes, dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yaitu secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan minat belajar dari pra siklus termasuk dalam kategori cukup yaitu 1,66, siklus I termasuk dalam kategori baik yaitu 2,68, dan siklus II termasuk dalam kategori baik yaitu 3,19. Persentase rata-rata keterampilan mengamati yaitu 77,15% menjadi 86,61, keterampilan mengklasifikasi yaitu 77,78% menjadi 96,25, keterampilan mengkomunikasikan yaitu 80,95% menjadi 89,74, dan keterampilan menginferensi yaitu 77,14% menjadi 88,03%.

Abstract

The research aims at improving the learning interest and science process skills by using discovery learning model. This research used classroom action research with Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subject of this research were the fourth grade student of SD Terbahsari. The object of this research were the learning interest and science process skills. The data collection techniques used scale, test, and observation. The analysis data techniques used qualitative and quantitative. The result of this research shows that the increased learning interest of pre cycles are included in the sufficient category that is 1.66, 1st cycle belong in the good category that is 2.68, and the 2nd cycle is included in the good category that is 3.19. The average percentage of observe skills is 77,15% become 86.61%, classification skills is 77,78% become 96.25%, communication skills is 80,95% become 89.74%, and inverence skills is 77,14% become 88,03%.
