PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VB SDN SOMPOKAN MELALUI PENDEKATAN CTL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VB SDN Sompokan melalui pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Subjek penelitian ini ialah 18 orang siswa kelas VB SDN Sompokan. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa angket, tes pilihan ganda, dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CTL mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Pada pratindakan, seluruh siswa belum tuntas KKM menjadi 11 siswa (61,11%) tuntas KKM pada siklus I, 12 siswa (66,67%) tuntas KKM pada siklus II, dan 15 siswa (83,33%) tuntas KKM pada siklus III. Adapun berdasarkan hasil angket, siswa yang mempunyai motivasi tinggi atau sangat tinggi ialah 15 siswa (83,33%) pada pratindakan dan siklus I, 14 siswa (77,78%) pada siklus II, dan 16 siswa (88,89%) pada siklus III.

Abstract

This research aim to improve the mathematics comprehension and learning motivation in grade VB SDN Sompokan through Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. This research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles. The research’s subject were 18 students. The research’s instruments were questionnaire, multiple choice test, and observation sheet. The data analysis technique used quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results show that the CTL approach can improve the mathematics comprehension and learning motivation in grade VB SDN Sompokan. In the pre cycle, all of the students do not pass the standard achievement become 11 students (61,11%) pass the standard achievement in cycle 1, 12 students (66,67%) pass the standard achievement in cycle 2, and 15 students (83,33%) pass the standard achievement in cycle 3. Based on the results of questionnaires, the students who have high or very high motivation are 15 students (83,33%) in the pre cycle and cycle 1, 14 students (77,78%) in cycle 2, and 16 students (88,89%) in cycle 3.
