Abstract


This research purpose to knowing the significance difference of ability shor
stories text writing skill between students who got learning using experientia
learning method with students who got learning without using experientia
learning method at VII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Kalasan. This research
also purpose to test the effectiveness of experiential learning method on learning
writing short stories text  at VII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Kalasan.
    This research is an experimental research design with pretest posttes
control group design. The population in this research is VII grade students of SMP
Negeri 3 Kalasan. The sample in this research is VII A class as control group and
VII D class as experiment group. Determination of the sample with the simple
random sampling technique. The instruments of data collection are  short stories
text writing test. The instruments of validity test are content validity and
instrument’s reliability is counted used Alpha Cronbach technique. Technique o
data analysis is used t-test with significance level 5% (0,05).
    The result of this research showed that there are significance difference on
the ability short stories text writing skill between students who got learning using
experiential learning method with students who got learning without using
experiential learning method at VII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Kalasan. The
case can be proven by the calculating result t-test of independent sample test, got
hitung > t tabel (th = -5,994>tt = 1,998) in significance level 5% (0,05) and df 62
Experiential learning method are effective for learning  writing short stories text
This can be shown from calculation result t-test of paired sample test, got t hitung
> t tabel (th = -15,717>tt = 2,039) in significance level 5% (0,05) and df 31.
