PENERAPAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMK N 3 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Pekerjaan Dasar Teknik Mesin (PDTM) kelas X melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran problem solving. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas X TP 4 sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan pengamatan, angket, lembar catatan refleksi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat kegiatan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini pada siklus I persentase rata-rata skor keaktifan siswa sebesar 70.37% dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II sebesar 5.56% menjadi 75.93%. Pada siklus III persentase rata-rata skor keakitfan siswa mengalami kenaikan menjadi 83.33%, termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik. Berdasarkan angket motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I persentase rata-rata skor motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 79.96% meningkat pada siklus II dan III masing-masing menjadi 82.33% dan 85.75%, termasuk dalam kriteria sangat baik dimana persentase skor lebih dari 81%.

This research is aimed to know the increasing of activeness and motivation in learning of student on basic work of mechanical engineering on tenth grade class of TP 4 with 30 students. The method of collecting data used the observation, quationnare sheet, note reflection sheet, and documentation. This research is classroom action research that has been carried out with three cycles. Each cycle consist of activity namely planning, execution, observation and reflection. The result on cycle I shows the percentage of student’s activeness average score at 70,37% and increased on cycle II at 5,56% becomes 75,93%. On cycle III shows that the percentage of student’s activeness average score increases to be 83,33%, including on the criteria very good. Based on quationnare of student’s motivation in learning on cycle I, the percentage of student’s motivation in learning average score at 79,96% and increased on cycle II and III each become 82,33% and 85,75%, including on the criteria very good which the score percentage is larger than 81%.
