PENGEMBANGAN TRAINER SISTEM KENDALI KECEPATAN MOTOR DC SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN PRAKTIK ROBOTIKA

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) mengetahui unjuk kerja trainer sistem kendali kecepatan motor DC, dan (2) mengetahui kelayakan trainer sistem kendali kecepatan motor DC sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mekatronika Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta dengan subyek penelitian peserta didik Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mekatronika.Hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa: (1) Unjuk kerja trainer sistem kendali kecepatan motor DC seri Vexta ini dapat mengendalikan kecepatan motor DC seri Vexta sesuai dengan kecepatan masukan, dan (2) hasil penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi didapat rerata skor 50,5 sehingga masuk dalam kategori “layak”, sedangkan kelayakan oleh ahli media didapat rerata skor 72, sehingga masuk dalam kategori “sangat layak”. Hasil penilaian peserta didik pada uji coba kelompok kecil didapat 50% peserta didik menyatakan “layak” dan 50% menyatakan ”sangat layak”. Pada uji produk operasional didapat 65% peserta didik menyatakan ”layak”, sedangkan 30% peserta didik menyatakan “sangat layak” dan 5% peserta didik menyatakan “cukup layak” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: (1) Understand how the DC motor control systems trainer works, and (2) measure the feasibility of DC motor control systems trainer as a learning media. This research applies research and development approach and ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) model. The research was conducted in mechatronic engineering education study program, Yogyakarta State University with the students of mechatronic engineering education as the subjects of the research.Based on this research, it is known that: (1) Vexta series of DC motor control systems trainer can control the speeds appropriate with the input speed, and (2) The result of feasibility assessment by material experts obtained an average score of 50.5, that included in the “feasible”category, while the media experts feasibility  obtained an average score of 72, that included in the “very reasonable” category. For the students’ assessment results based on the experiment on small group, 50 % of the students agreed that the material is “feasible” category, while another 50% agreed that it is ”very reasonable” category. For the assessment  on operational products, 65 % of the students agreed that it is “feasible” category, while another 30 % agreed that it is “very reasonable” category, and the other 5 % agreed that it is “good enough” category, to be applied as a learning media.
