UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI RANGKAIAN KEMAGNETAN PADA RANGKAIAN KELISTRIKAN SISWA MATA PELAJARAN TEKNIK LISTRIK DENGAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN SNOWBALL THROWING DI SMK NEGERI 2 WONOSARI

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas X program keahlian Elektronika Industri SMK Negeri 2 Wonosari melalu metode pembelajaran Snowball Throwing. Hasil belajar siswa yang dinilai meliputi dua aspek antara lain (1) aspek kognitif, dan (2) aspek afektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode penelitian pada metode pembelajaran Snowball Throwing yang dilakukan yakni pembelajaran yang menekankan kepada pengembangan aspek kognitif dan aspek afektif secara seimbang, sehingga pembelajaran melalui strategi Snowball Throwing ini lebih bermakna, mengorganisasikan kelas dengan membentuk kelompok diskusi. Pengumpulan data peningkatan kompetensi aspek kognitif peserta didik menggunakan pretest dan posttest, aspek afektif peserta didik menggunakan lembar observasi peserta didik. Penerapan metode pembelajaran Snowball Throwing terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai kognitif siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu nilai rata-rata pretest siklus I sebesar 57,66 dan presentase siswa lulus sebesar 6,25% meningkat pada psottest siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 69,22 dan presentase siswa lulus 81,25%. Nilai rata-rata afektif pada pertemuan pertama siklus I sebesar 43,95 dan presentase rata-rata afektif sebesar 45,11% meningkat pada pertemuan ketiga siklus II dengan nilai rata-rata 73,44 dan presentase 22,98%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes class X program of Industrial Electronics expertise study program at Vocational High School 2 Wonosari through the method of learning Snowball Throwing. Student learning outcomes assessed include two aspects, among others (1) cognitive aspects, and (2) affective aspects. This research is a classroom action research conducted two cycles. Each cycle is held three meetings consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The method of research on Snowball Throwing method is learning that emphasizes the development of cognitive and affective aspects in a balanced way, so that learning through Snowball Throwing strategy is more meaningful, organizing the class by forming discussion group. Collecting data to increase the competence of cognitive aspect of learners using pretest and posttest, affective aspect of learners using student observation sheet. The application of Snowball Throwing method is proven to improve student learning outcomes. The cognitive value of students has an increase that is the average value of pretest cycle I of 57.66 and the percentage of graduated students of 6.25%, increases in posttest cycle II with an average score of 69.22 and the percentage of graduated students 81.25%. The affective average score at first meeting of cycle I was 43.95 and the affective average percentage of 45.11%, increased at the third meeting of cycle II with an average score of 73.44 and a percentage of 22.98%.
