SECONDARY PREPOSITION IN TATSACHEN ÜBER DEUTSCHLAND AND ITS INDONESIAN EQUIVALENT

Abstract


This study aims to describe (1) the form of German secondary preposition and its Indonesian equivalent, (2) the meaning of German secondary preposition and its Indonesian equivalent and (3) the factors that impacts equivalent of German secondary preposition in Indonesian. This type of research was a qualitative descriptive. Data collection was taken through read- note. Data analysis was using translational equivalent method and agih method. The result showed that: (1) there were 18 forms of German secondary preposition in the book Tatsachen Über Deutschland, which is dank, zugunsten, aufgrund, zufolge, mit Hilfe, im Falle, jenseits, innerhalb, im Rahmen, mit Ausnahme, angesichts, entsprechend, gemäß, trotz, im Zuge, laut, statt, and infolge, (2) there are some types of equivalent meaning of German secondary preposition in Indonesian, which is the meaning of ‘cause, way, dedication, source, tool, actor, place, possession, time, exception, similarity, consensive, and thing’, (3) the factors that impacts equivalent of German secondary preposition in Indonesian are grammer and semantic.
