PENGARUH KECERDASAN SPIRITUAL TERHADAP COPING STRES PADA SISWA KELAS VIII MADRASAH MU’ALLIMAAT MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kecerdasan spiritual siswa pada kelas VIII Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, (2) coping stres pada siswa kelas VIII Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, (3) pengaruh kecerdasan spiritual terhadap coping stres siswa kelas VIII Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis hubungan kausal. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dengan jumlah dua kelas. Alat pengumpul data berupa skala kecerdasan spiritual dan coping stres Analisis data menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana dengan nilai signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kecerdasan spiritual siswa terkategori tinggi yaitu 48 siswa (62%), dan (2) coping stres siswa untuk problem focused coping dan emotional focused coping  terkategori sedang yaitu 67 siswa (84,03%) dan 41 siswa (53%), (3) terdapat pengaruh positif kecerdasan spiritual terhadap coping stres dalam bentuk problem focused coping dan emotional focused coping pada siswa dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 48,8%dan 34,8%. Persamaan garis regresinya Y = -5,926 + 0,781X dan Y = -5,491 + 0,767X. Kesimpulannya kecerdasan spiritual dapat memprediksi coping stres pada siswa.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to identify: (1) spiritual intelligence of VIII grades Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, (2) coping stress of  VIII grades Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, (3) the influence of spiritual intelligence on coping stress of VIII grades Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This study applied quantitative method of casual correlation. The population of this study was grade VIII  students of Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. There were 2 clusters employed in this research using cluster random sampling technique. The data for this study were collected using two instruments namely the spiritual intelligence scale of measurement and coping stress scale of measurement. The data analysis technique employed in this study was simple regression linier technique with 5% of significance points. The result show that: 1) there are positive correlation the spiritual intelligence and coping stress in problem focused coping and emotional focused coping shown by the students with the percentage of effective influence 48.8%, and 34.8%  2) 48 (62%) students performed spiritual intelligence in fair category, and 3) 67 (84.03%) and 41 (53%) students coping stress for problem focused coping and emotional focused coping performed in fair category. The equation of the regression line was Y = -5,926+ 0,781X and Y = -5,491 + 0,767X. This study concludes that spiritual intelligence can predict the students’ coping stress.
