THE DEVELOPMENT OF MICROCONTROLLER ARDUINO UNO R3’S TRAINER DEVICE FOR STUDENT GRADE XI OF AUDIO VIDEO ENGINEERING IN SMK MA’ARIF SALAM

Abstract


This research is aimed to design, demonstrate and find out the suitability of Microcontroller Arduino Uno R3’s trainer device for student grade XI of Audio Video Engineering in SMK Ma’arif Salam. This research’s type is a Research and Development (R&D) which applying the ADDIE development model with step involves analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluation. The object of research is trainer and Arduino Uno R3 learning module. Data analysis technique in this research is using descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative technique. Data collection methods is using a questionnaire instrument. The result of this research is Arduino Uno R3’s trainer consisting an Arduino Uno R3 board, three types of inputs and seven types of ouputs. The results of the assessment of trainer gains score 83.97% with Very Feasible category. The result of this research besides trainer is learning module consisting nine chapters, the results of the assessment gains score 89.45% with Very Feasible category. Then, the results of trial usage by students gains score 76.93% with Very Feasible category. The result of research has some disadvantages on the layout of the trainer, limitations on the method of learning modules, and the absence of jobsheet practicum. While the advantages of the trainer already has enough input / output and safe to use. Based on the assessment result from media experts, material experts and trial usage by students, it can be concluded that the Arduino Uno R3’s trainer and learning modules are very feasible to use.
