TRAINER MODEL SMART DOOR LOCK AS LEARNING MEDIA IN COURSE DESIGN SYSTEM ELECTRONIC DESIGN

Abstract


Electronics system design course is a compulsory subject for D3 and S1 students of electronic engineering education course. Lecture activities include practical design simulation, implementation of design results, observation activities, and practicum reports. In the implementation of a practicum, it is necessary to support instructional media, one of them in the form of trainer. This research aims to build, to know the performance, and to know the feasibility level of Smart Door Lock Model Trainer, as well as to add a learning media on the subject of Electronic System Desain in Department of Electronic Engineering Education and Informatic Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. This research is a Research and Developement (R&D) with 9 stages of research developement procedures that include: (1) potential and problem, (2) data collection, (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) revision design, (6) product trial, (7) product revision, (8) trial usage, and (9) product revision. The result of the research note that: (1) learnning media made in the form of smart door lock model trainer which has various controller input such as knock, keypad, RFID, and fingerprint and can be connected to android via bluetooth and wifi connection, (2) performance of trainer is functioning stedly both on each part as well as on whole regular basic. As for the result, the content and construct validation of this trainer obtained value in a very decent category, (3) feasibility level obtained from the test of usa to 46 college students in Department of Electronic Engineering Education and Informatic Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University who received incoming value in a very decent category.
