Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan proses strategi komunikasi persuasif Ditbinmas Polda D. I. Yogyakarta dalam menanggulangi kejahatan jalanan remaja di Yogyakarta serta kelebihan dan kekurangan selama proses berlangsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam penentuan informan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, menghasilkan lima personil sebagai informan kunci. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik tringaluasi metode. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi komunikasi persuasif yang dilakukan Ditbinmas adalah : (1) penemuan fakta, (2) perencanaan, (3) komunikasi, (4) evaluasi. Selain itu dalam proses komunikasi menggunakan strategi komunikasi persuasif psikodinamika, sosikultural, dan the meaning construction. Terdapat unsur-unsur agar keberhasilan komunikasi persuasif terjadi, yaitu persuader, persuadee, persepsi, pesan persuasif, saluran persuasif, dan umpan balik dan efek. Kelebihan dari strategi komunikasi persuasif yang diterapkan yaitu: (1) kegiatan sosialisasi meningkatkan citra positif masyarakat kepada kepolisian, (2) kedekatan anggota memudahkan untuk koordinasi berbagai kegiatan. Sedangkan kekurangannya adalah: (1) terkendala waktu kegiatan, (2) keterbatasan anggaran, (3) keterbatasan personil dan transportasi.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the process of a persuasive communication strategy for the Yogyakarta police directorate of community development in overcoming youth street crime in yogyakarta as well as the advantages and disadvantages during the process. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. In determining the informants using a purposive sampling technique, the resulting results are five personnel as key informants. The data validity technique uses the method trivaluation technique. The data analysis technique used Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results of the research show that the directorate of community development persuasive communication strategy is implemented included: (1) facts, (2) planning, (3) communication, (4) evaluation. In addition, the communication process uses psychodynamic, sociocultural, and the meaning construction persuasive communication strategies. There are also elements for the success of persuasive communication, persuaders, persuades, perceptions, persuasive messages, persuasive channels, and feedback and effects. The strengths of the persuasive communication strategy applied are: (1) socialization activities increase the positive image towards the police, (2) the closeness of members makes it easier to coordinate various activities. Meanwhile, the disadvantages are: (1) time constraints for activities, (2) budget constraints, (3) personnel and transportation limitations.
