PROFESIONALITAS WARTAWAN TVONE DALAM PELIPUTAN DEMO PENOLAKAN OMNIBUS LAW DI YOGYAKARTA (ANALISIS FENOMENOLOGI WARTAWAN TV ONE BIRO DIY & JATENG)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh wartawan Tv One Biro DIY & Jateng dalam peliputan demo penolakan omnibus law di Yogyakarta. Kompetensi tersebut dilihat berdasarkan proses kerja wartawan, pemahaman pada Kode Etik Jurnalistik, Undang-undang nomor 32 tahun 2002, dan Pedoman Perilaku Penyiaran dan Standar Program Siaran (P3SPS), serta hasil penyajian berita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi Alfred Schutz dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa wartawan TvOne Biro DIY & Jateng belum mencapai profesionalitas sesuai dengan Standar Kompetensi Wartawan oleh Dewan Pers. Namun, wartawan Tv One Biro DIY & Jateng memiliki standar profesional sendiri dan mengkritik kebijakan yang digunakan selama ini. Proses kerja dapat berjalan maksimal dengan dukungan dari internal perusahaan media dan personal diri wartawan. Wartawan telah memahami aturan hukum jurnalistik dengan baik. Secara umum, penyajian berita telah memenuhi unsur berita dan menerapkan aturan hukum jurnalisitik dengan baik. Namun masih terdapat satu tayangan rokok yang terekam dan tampil di televisi.

Abstract

This study aims to find out competency of journalists Tv One Biro DIY & Jateng while covering Omnibus Law rejection demonstration in Yogyakarta. The Competency seen based on the work process of journalists, understanding of Journalistic Code of Ethics, Law 32 year 2002 Constitution, and Broadcasting Code and Broadcasting Program Standards Regulation (P3SPS), and the results of  news presentation. This research are using phenomenology method of Alfred Schutz with qualitative approach. The data was collected through in depth interview, observation, documentation, and fields notes.  The result of this study indicate that TvOne Biro DIY & Jateng Journalists has not achieved based on the Journalists Competency Standards (SKW) by Dewan Pers.  However, TvOne Biro DIY & Jateng  journalists have their own professional standards, and criticize the police used so far.  In the work process, coverage can optimally with the support of internal media companies and journalists personalities. Journalist understood the rules of journalistic law. Overall, the presentation of news has fulfilled elements of news and has implemented rules of journalistic law properly. However, news presentation there is one section that still display cigarettes.
