PERBANDINGAN EFEKTIVITAS ANTARA LATIHAN SIT-UP DAN LATIHAN PLANK TERHADAP KEKUATAN DAYA TAHAN OTOT PERUT DAN PENURUNAN LINGKAR PERUT

Abstract


Saat ini olahraga menjadi kebutuhan setiap manusia dalam menjaga kesehatan atau kebugaran jasmani,
akan tetapi masyarakat kurang mengetahui variasi-variasi latihan untuk otot perut. Penelitian ini bertujuan
untuk mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas antara latihan sit-up dan latihan plank terhadap kekuatan daya
tahan otot perut dan penurunan lingkar perut.
Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan adalah two group
pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Ilmu keolahragaan angkatan 2015 dangan jumlah
34 orang. Sampel berjumlah 10 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian
yaitu curl-up test dan pita ukur. Teknik analisis data adalah analisis uji-t. Hasil penelitian disajikan secara
kuatitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan sit-up terhadap
kekuatan daya tahan otot perut akan tetapi tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan tehadap penurunan lingkar
perut. Demikian pula terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan latihan plank terhadap kekuatan daya tahan otot perut
akan tetapi tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penurunan lingkar perut. Efektifitas latihan plank
dan latihan sit-up terhadap kekuatan daya tahan otot perut diperoleh bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang
signifikan. Sedangkan efektifitas latihan plank dan latihan sit-up terhadap lingkar perut diperoleh bahwa
terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan.

Abstract
Nowadays, sports are human needs to maintain health or physical fitness. Most of people do not know the
variations of exercise for the abdominal muscle endurances. The aim of this research is to determine the
effectiveness comparison between sit-ups and plank exercises towards the strength of abdominal muscle
endurances and the decrease of abdominal circumference.
 This research was an experimental research. It used pre-test and post-test design. The subject of the
research was 34 students of sports science 2015. There were 10 students as a sample. The sampling technique
was purposive sampling. The research instruments were curl-up test and measuring tape. The data analysis
technique used t-test analysis. The research result was presented in a qualitative form.
 The research result shows that there a significant effect of sit-up exercises towards the strength of
abdominal muscle endurance, but there is no significant effect towards the decrease of the abdominal
circumference. Moreover, there is a significant effect of plank exercise towards the strength of abdominal muscle
endurance, but there is no significant effect towards the decrease of abdominal circumference. There were no
significant differences of the effectiveness of plank and sit-up exercises towards the strength of abdominal
muscle endurance. Furthermore, there are significant differences of the effectiveness of plank and sit-up
exercises towards the abdominal circumference.
