PENGARUH MODUL “UTAK-ATIK TAKTIK CATUR” TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN TAKTIK CATUR PADA ANGGOTA UNIT KEGIATAN MAHASISWA CATUR UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh modul “Utak-Atik Taktik Catur” terhadap pemahaman
taktik catur pada anggota Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Catur Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.
Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuasi eksperimen, dengan subjek penelitian anggota Unit Kegiatan
Mahasiswa (UKM) Catur UNY, yang berjumlah 10 mahasiswa. Desain yang digunakan yaitu one group pre-test
post-test. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan
teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai post test yaitu 84 lebih besar dari rata-rata nilai pre
test yaitu 52. Standar deviasi nilai post test sebesar 9,66 lebih kecil dari standar deviasi nilai pre test sebesar 17,51.
Hal ini berarti modul “Utak-Atik Taktik” Catur memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman taktik catur pada
anggota UKM Catur UNY. Selain itu, modul “Utak-Atik Taktik Catur” merupakan modul yang baik dan menarik
karena memuat karakteristik self instructional, self contained, stand alone, adaptive, user friendly. Hal ini
dibuktikan dengan hasil uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan ahli media yang telah dilakukan. Inti penerapan modul
yaitu masing-masing anggota UKM Catur UNY diberikan satu modul kemudian dijelaskan cara penggunaan dan
macam-macam taktik catur yang ada pada modul serta pengaplikasiannya di atas papan catur.

Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effect of module “Utak-Atik Chess Tactics” of understanding on the
chess tactic to members of the Chess Unit in Yogyakarta State University.
This type of research is a quasi-experimental study, the research subjects member of the Chess Unit in UNY,
which amounted to 10 students. Design used is one group pre-test post-test. Methods of data collection using
achievement test and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques.
The results of this research showed that the average post-test score that is 84 greater than the average pretest
score is 52. The standard deviation of 9.66 post-test value is smaller than the standard deviation of the pre-test
value of 17.51. This means that the module "Utak-Atik Chess Tactics" gives effect of understanding on the chess
tactic to members of the Chess Unit in Yogyakarta State University, the module "Utak-Atik Chess Tactics" is a
good and interesting modules for load characteristics of self-instructional, self-contained, stand alone, adaptive,
user friendly. This is evidenced by the results of test validity by expert content and media expert who has done. The
core application modules that each member of the members of the Chess Unit in Yogyakarta State University given
one module then described how to use and various chess tactics that exist in the module and its application on the
chessboard.
