PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA PEGAWAI PERPUSTAKAAN DI UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA

Abstract



Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) kondisi lingkungan kerja pegawai
perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), (2) motivasi kerja pegawai
perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), dan (3) pengaruh lingkungan kerja
terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY).
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang
menggunakan dua variabel yaitu lingkungan kerja dan motivasi kerja. Populasi dalam
penelitian ini sebanyak 55 pegawai perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY)
dan keseluruhan populasi dijadikan responden penelitian, yang meliputi pegawai biasa
dan pustakawan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah
menggunakan angket dan instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup. Untuk
validitas data menggunakan validitas konstruk. Selanjutnya reliabilitas data
menggunakan teknik Croncbach’s Alpha. Adapun uji prasyarat menggunakan uji
linieritas. Teknik analisis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis diskriptif. Selanjutnya
untuk uji hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi sederhana.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Kondisi lingkungan kerja di perpustakaan
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rata-rata persentase
pencapaian tiap indikator mencapai 83,4%. (2) Motivasi kerja pegawai perpustakaan
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta berdasarkan hasil perhitungan rata-rata persentase
pencapaian tiap indikator mencapai 81,3%. (3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara
lingkungan kerja terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri
Yogyakarta (UNY) dengan sumbangan sebesar 21,1%. Hal tersebut berarti 78,9%
motivasi kerja pegawai perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) ditentukan
oleh variabel lain yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini.

THE INFLUENCE WORK ENVIRONMENTTO THE WORK MOTIVATION OF LIBRARY
EMPLOYEEIN THE YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know; (1 ) conditions of work environment
librarian at the Yogyakarta State University ( YSU ) , ( 2 ) the motivation of employees
working in the library of the Yogyakarta State University ( YSU ) , and ( 3 ) the influence
of the work environment on employee motivation in the library Yogyakarta State
University ( UNY ) .
This research is quantitative research with the survey method that using two
variables. The variables are work environment and work motivation. The research
population is 55 library employees in Yogyakarta State University. The research respondent is all of the library employees in Yogyakarta State University, there are 55
library employees which are employee and librarian. The technic of collect data that used
to research is questionnaries. The validity data uses construct validity. The reliability data
uses Croncbach’s Alpha technic. Pre-analysis test include of linearity test. This study
analyzes techniques using descriptive analysis. And next hypothesis test use a simple
regression test.
The result of the research have shown that: (1) conditions of work environment
at Yogyakarta State University library is based on the calculation of the average
percentage of achievement of each indicator reached 83.4%. (2) employee motivation
Yogyakarta State University library based on the calculation of the average percentage
of achievement of each indicator reached 81.3%. ()(3)There is significant influence
between work environment and work motivation of library employee in Yogyakarta State
University amount 21,1%. This means that 78.9% of employee motivation in the library of
the State University of Yogyakarta (UNY) is determined by other variables that are not
addressed in this study.
