REKRUTMEN GURU TAMAN KANAK-KANAK DI KECAMATAN KOKAP KABUPATEN KULON PROGO

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses perekrutan dan pengembangan profesi dan
kompetensi guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulon Progo.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Taman Kanak-kanak
di Kecamatan Kokap. Seluruh Taman Kanak-kanak sebanyak 22 sekolah diteliti sehingga penelitian ini
disebut studi populasi. Sumber informasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah. Data dihimpun
dengan menggunakan wawancara.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) rekrutmen guru Taman Kanak-kanak di Kecamatan
Kokap dilakukan oleh Sekolah, walaupun penetapan dan pengangkatannya dilakukan oleh Yayasan; (2)
yang dijadikan kriteria calon guru pada umumnya adalah minimal D2 PGTK dan kriteria kepribadian; (3)
rekrutmen pada umumnya menggunakan sistem tertutup yaitu melalui rekomendasi guru; (4) seleksi
calon guru pada umumnya menggunakan wawancara.; (5) tidak ada kontrak kerja antara guru dengan
Sekolah atau Yayasan; (6) seluruh TK tidak melakukan sendiri pengembangan profesi guru, hanya
memfasilitasi untuk mengikuti pelatihan dan studi lanjut.

Abstract
This descriptive study is aimed to describe the process of recruitment and professional
competencies development of Kindergarten teachers in Kokap Subdistrict, Kulon Progo.
All the Kindergartens in Kokap Subdistrict were chosen as the subjects of this study (research).
The main informants for this study were the Kindergarten’s headmasters.Data were collected using
interview, and analyzed using proportional technique.
The results showed that : (1) the recruitment process was conducted mainly by the Schools, but
the final decision was acted by the Foundation of the Kindergartens; (2) the criteria used for prospective
teachers in general were minimaly graduated from D2 PGTK or Kindergarten teacher education, and
personality criterion; (3) the recruitment system used usually a closed one, mainly using recomendation
of the existence teacher of the kindergartens; (4) the interview was used as main means of selection; (5)
there was no work assignment between teachers and the School or Foundation; (6) the Kindergarten did
not prepare their own training for the teachers, but giving facilities for it.
