PELAKSANAAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DI SD NEGERI BROSOT KULON PROGO

Abstract


Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang ada di SD Negeri Brosot Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari Kepala Sekolah, Koordinator ekstrakurikuler, Tentor ekstrakurikuler, dan Siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik Miles, Huberman dan Saldana yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter melalui (1) Kegiatan Keagamaan, terbagi atas Agama Islam, Kristen dan Katholik, nilai utama yang ditanamkan yaitu religius dan integritas dan dilakukan melalui aktivitas selama kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ini berlangsung melalui penugasan, teguran, teladan dari tentor dan juga pembiasaan pada kegiatan ibadah. (2) Kegiatan Pramuka, nilai utama yang ditanamkan yaitu nasionalis, mandiri, dan gotong-royong, dilaksanakan melalui pengamalan Tri Satya dan Dasa Dharma, menabung, bakti sosial dan kemah antar sekolah dalam satu gugus. (3) Permainan Tradisional, nilai utama yang ditanamkan yaitu Nasionalis dan Mandiri dan dilaksanakan melalui aktivitas bermain beraneka ragam permainan tradisional dari Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sehingga peserta didik terbiasa memainkan permainan tersebut pada keseharian. (4) Faktor pendukung, antusias peserta didik yang tinggi, adanya tata tertib, adanya daya dukung tentor, dan adanya sarana penunjang. (5) Faktor penghambat, heterogenitas latarbelakang peserta didik, karakteristik siswa SD, lingkungan pergaulan, keterbatasan tentor dan kurang mencukupinya prasarana di sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of character education through extracurricular activities in SD Negeri Brosot Kulon Progo This research uses a desciptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this research stands for the Principal, Extracurricular Coordinator, Extracurricular Tentors, and Students. Data collection techniques are by interview, observation, and study documentation. Data analysis techniques used Miles, Huberman and Saldana techniques, namely data condensation step, data display, and verifying conclusions. The validity measured in this rersearch using triangulation of source and triangulation of techniques. The results of the research showed that the implementation of character education through (1) Religious Activities are divided into Islam, Christianity, and Catholicism, the main values that were inculcated were religious and integrity and carried out through activities during this extracurricular activity took place through assignments, reprimands, examples from the tentor and also habituation in worship activities. (2) Scouting activities, the main values that instilled are nationalist, independent, and mutual assistance, are carried out through the practice of Tri Satya and Dasa Dharma, saving, social service and camp between schools in one cluster. (3) Traditional Games, the main values that instilled are Nationalist and Independent which are carried out through various traditional play activities from the Special Region of Yogyakarta (4) Supporting factors in character education are, high student enthusiasm, the existence of an orderly system, the existence of tentor carrying capacity, and the existence of supporting facilities. (5) Inhibiting factors, heterogeneity of students' backgrounds, characteristics of elementary school students, social environment, limitations of tentors and insufficient infrastructure in schools.
