PERAN GURU DALAM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PESERTA DIDIK DI SDIT ULUL ALBAB 01 PURWOREJO

Abstract


Abstrak

   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran guru terhadap pendidikan karakter peserta didik di SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala kurikulum, serta perwakilan dari guru di SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo. Lokasi penelitian di SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dengan menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dengan menggunakan model analisis kualitatif dari Miles dan Huberman yang dimulai dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi.

Hasil penelitian bahwa di SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo telah menjalankan lima peran guru terhadap pendidikan karakter yaitu peran guru sebagai teladan, inspirator, motivator, dinamisator, dan evaluator. Peran guru terhadap pendidikan karakter tidak hanya terlihat saat proses pembelajaran di kelas, namun saat di luar jam proses pembelajaran guru juga senantiasa menjalankan perannya terhadap pendidikan karakter peserta didik. Maka secara keseluruhan guru telah menjalankan lima peran tersebut untuk mencapai visi di SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo yang berkaitan erat dengan pendidikan karakter peserta didik salah satunya yaitu mencetak genarasi yang berakhlak mulia. Adapun Nilai karakter yang tertanam dari peran guru yaitu religius,  jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, dan tanggungjawab. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan nilai karakter menurut Pemerintah dalam badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan, Pusat Kurikulum Kementrian Pendidikan Nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in student character education at SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo.

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were principals, deputy head of the curriculum, and representatives of teachers at SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo. Research location at SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo. Data collection in this study uses interview, observation, and documentation methods. Test the validity of the data by using source triangulation. Data analysis using qualitative analysis models from Miles and Huberman which starts from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification.

The results of the study that at SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo have carried out five teacher roles on character education, namely the role of teachers as role models, inspirators, motivators, dynamists, and evaluators. The role of the teacher in character education is not only seen during the learning process in the classroom, but when outside the hours of the learning process the teacher also continues to play his role in the character education of students. So as a whole the teacher has carried out these five roles to achieve the vision at SDIT Ulul Albab 01 Purworejo which is closely related to the character education of students, one of which is the printing of noble genarations. The embedded character values of the teacher's role are religious, honest, tolerant, disciplined, hard work, creative, and responsible. This is in accordance with the character values according to the Government in the Research and Development agency, Curriculum Center of the Ministry of National Education.
