PENGARUH PENERIMAAN DIRI TERHADAP HARGA DIRI REMAJA DI PANTI ASUHAN YATIM PUTRI AISYAYAH YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya remaja panti asuhan yang merasa minder dengan keadaan dirinya sebagai yatim piatu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui tingkat penerimaan diri remaja di panti asuhan, (2) Mengetahui tingkat harga diri remaja di panti asuhan, (3) Mengetahui pengaruh penerimaan diri terhadap harga diri remaja di Panti Asuhan Yatim Putri Aisyiyah Yogyakarta.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif kausal. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 38 remaja. Alat pengumpulan data berupa skala penerimaan diri dan skala harga diri. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi dengan expert judgment, sedangkan reliabilitas dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach, dan diperoleh nilai koefisien α 0,951 pada instrumen penerimaan diri dan 0,941 pada instrumen harga diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Penerimaan diri pada remaja di Panti Asuhan Yatim Putri Aisyiyah Yogyakarta berada pada kategori sedang atau cukup; (2) Harga diri pada remaja di Panti Asuhan Yatim Putri Aisyiyah Yogyakarta berada pada kategori sedang atau cukup; (3) Ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel penerimaan diri terhadap harga diri dengan nilai p (0,000) < 0,05. Dengan demikian, variabel penerimaan diri dapat memprediksikan harga diri. Terdapat sumbangan efektif variabel penerimaan diri terhadap harga diri sebesar 34%.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are so many adolescents in the house of orphanage do not have self-confidence as they feel they are just orphans. This research aims: (1) To describe self-acceptance level of the adolescent in the orphanage, (2) To describe  self-concept level of the adolescents in the orphanage, (3) To examine the influence of self-acceptance on the adolescents’ self-concept at Aisyiyah Female Orphanage Yogyakarta.

This research applies Causal Quantitative method. There are 38 adolescents involved, with self-concept through self-acceptance scale as the instruments. The validity test of the instruments used is content validity with Expert Judgment, while the reliability is tested using Alpha Cronbach formulate. The result of coefficient are 0.951 for instrument of self-acceptance, and 0.941 for the instrument of self-concept, the data is analyzed using regression simple.

The research results show: (1) The adolescents’ self-acceptance at Aisyiyah Female Orphanage Yogyakarta is at the medium category, (2) The adolescents’ self-concept at Aisyiyah Female Orphanage Yogayakarta is at the medium category, (3) There is a positive and significant influence of self-acceptance and self-concept of the adolescent’s at Aisyiyah Female Orphanage with p (0.000) ˂ 0.05. Therefore the variable of self-acceptance is able to predict the variable of self-concepti. There is also found 34% contribution self-acceptance on self-concept of adolescents’ at Aisyiyah Female Orphanage Yogyakarta.
