HUBUNGAN ANTARA BODY IMAGE DENGAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI PADA MAHASISWA BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING 2017 UNY

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dengan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling 2017 FIP UNY. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling 2017 FIP UNY sejumlah 77 orang dengan semua populasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu skala body image dan skala kepercayaan diri. Validasi instrument menggunakan validitas konstrak. Skor validitas skala body image dari angka 0,588 sampai dengan 0,888, sedangkan uji validitas skala kepercayaan diri dari angka 0,598 sampai dengan 0,933. Realibilitas skala body image dan skala kepercayaan diri diukur menggunakan analisis uji reabilitas alpha cronbach. Nilai koefisien reabilitas alpha (ɑ) pada skala body image sebesar 0,868, sedangkan pada skala kepercayaan diri sebesar 0,944. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan rumus product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan anatara body image dengan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling 2017 FIP UNY. Koefisien korelasi diketahui sebesar 0,298. Hal ini berarti bahwa semakin positif body image mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling 2017 FIP UNY, maka akan semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan dirinya. Sebaliknya, semakin negatif body image mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling 2017 FIP UNY maka, akan semakin rendah tingkat kepercayaan dirinya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about the relation of body image with the self-confidence of the guidance and counseling students 2017 of Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University. This research is using quantitative research method which is correlation research. The subject of this research are 77 of the guidance and counseling students’ 2017 of Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University from the all population. The method of collecting data of this research are body image scale and self-confidence scale. The instrument validation is using konstrak validity. The score of  body image scale validity start from 0,588 to 0,888, and the test of self-confidence scale validity start from 0,598 to 0,933. The realibility of body image scale and self-confidence scale be measured by alphacronbach reliability test analysis. The score of alpha (ɑ) realibility coeficient on the body image scale is 0,868, while on the self-confidence scale is 0,944. This reserch is using descriptive statistical data analysis techniques with the product moment formula. The result of this research shown the significant positive relation between  body image with the self-confidence of the guidance and counseling students 2017 of Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University. The correlation coeficient is 0,298. The result is the more positive of body image of the guidance and counseling students 2017 of Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University, then the self-convidence will increase too. Otherwise, if the body image of the guidance and counseling students 2017 of Faculty of Education Yogyakarta State University is lower, then the self-convidence will decrease.
