EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK SELF MANAGEMENT TERHADAP KONTROL DIRI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS VIII SMP N 1 MLATI

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan observasi terhadap peserta didik SMP yang menunjukkan rendahnya kontrol diri di sekolah sehingga diperlukan metode yang tepat dan teruji dalam mengatasinya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk menguji efektivitas teknik self management terhadap kontrol diri peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Mlati. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain eksperimen dengan model pre-eksperiment pretest and posttest one group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Mlati dengan sampel sebanyak 10 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur berupa skala kontrol diri yang berjumlah 41 item pernyataan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Reliabilitas skala kontrol diri dengan nilai alpha cronbach’s sebesar 0,870. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran kontrol diri pada peserta didik SMP N 1 Mlati menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikasi 0.838 > 0.05 yang artinya H0 (Hipotesis nol) diterima. Hal ini berarti bahwa tidak ada perbedaan antara hasil pengukuran awal dengan pengukuran akhir. Dengan demikian teknik self management tidak efektif untuk meningkatkan kontrol diri peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Mlati.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on observations of junior high school students who showed low self-control in school so that appropriate and tested methods were needed to overcome it. Therefore, this study was prepared with aim of testing the effectiveness of self-management techniques on self-control of class VIII student of SMP N 1 Mlati. The method used in this research is experimental research. Experimental design with pre-experimental pretest and posttest control group design. The subject of this research is the grade VIII student of SMP N 1 Mlati with a sample of 10 students. The instrumen used to measure the form of all self-control is 41 items. Data analysis techniques using Wilcoxon Test. Rreliability scale of self-control alpha cronbach’s up to 0,870. Based on the results of control measurements from sudents of SMP N 1 Mlati showed that the significance up to 0,838 > 0,05 which means that the right of H₀ (null hypothesis) is accepted. This means that there is no difference between the results of the initial measurement and the final measurement so taht self-management techniques are not effective for improving self-control of students in grade VIII at SMP N 1 Mlati.
