PENGARUH KONFORMITAS TEMAN SEBAYA TERHADAP BODY IMAGE SISWA SMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya dengan body image pada siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas XI sebanyak 144 siswa. Uji validasi dalam penelitian ini menggunakan expert judgement dan uji coba instrumen. Uji reliabilitas dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Alpha Cronbach. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi sederhana. Diperoleh hasil: Tingkat konformitas siswa sebesar 75% masuk dalam kategori sedang, kemudian pada body image masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan presentase 49%. Sumbangan efektif dari variabel konformitas teman sebaya sebesar 10,2%. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara konformitas teman sebaya dengan body image pada siswa SMA yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,713 dengan signifikansi sebesar sebesar 0,000 (< 0,05).

 Abstract

This study aimed to discover the influence of peer conformity with body image students of senior high school. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlation type. The samples on this study were 144 students in senior high school in XI grade. The validity of this study used expert judgment and item of instrument testing. Reliability in this study used the Alpha Cronbach The data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that: The peer conformity level of students amounted to 75 % fitted into the category of “moderate”, and also on the body image fitted into the category of “moderate” with a percentage of 49%. The effective contribution came from variable of peer conformity, which provided 10,2%. There was a positive influence and significance between the peer conformity with body students of senior high school as indicated by the correlation coefficient value of 0.713 with a significance of 0.000 (< 0,05 ).
