PENGARUH KONFORMITAS TEMAN SEBAYA TERHADAP PERILAKU AGRESIF SISWA
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konformitas teman sebaya terhadap perilaku agresif siswa salah satu SMP di Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 260 siswa, sedangkan ukuran sampel penelitian sebanyak 149 siswa yang ditentukan dengan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala konformitas teman sebaya dan skala perilaku agresif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat konformitas teman sebaya di SMP tersebut berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan tingkat perilaku agresif siswa di SMP tersebut berada pada kategori rendah. Selanjutnya terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan konformitas teman sebaya terhadap perilaku agresif siswa. Artinya konformitas teman sebaya mampu memprediksi perilaku agresif siswa. Semakin tinggi konformitas teman sebaya maka semakin tinggi pula perilaku agresif siswa, meskipun pengaruhnya tidak terlalu besar.
AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of peer conformity on the aggressive behavior of students of one of the junior high schools in the city of Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with the ex post facto method.. The population of the study was 260 students, while the sample size of the study was 149 students determined by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data collection used a peer conformity and an aggressive behavior scale. The data analysis was conducted with descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the level of peer conformity was in the moderate category, while the level of aggressive behavior was in the low category. Furthermore, there is a positive and significant influence of peer conformity on students' aggressive behavior. This means that peer conformity is able to predict students' aggressive behavior. The higher the peer conformity, the higher the aggressive behavior of students, although the effect is not too large.
