Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan yang positif antara dukungan sosial akademik orang tua dengan motivasi berprestasi akademik pada siswa kelas khusus olahraga (KKO) di SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 44 siswa KKO yang terdiri dari 26 siswa kelas X dan 18 siswa dari kelas XI. Penentuan subjek penelitian dengan teknik populasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala dukungan sosial akademik orang tua dan skala motivasi berprestasi akademik. Validasi instrumen dilakukan menggunakan rumus product moment, sedangkan reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach untuk skala dukungan sosial akademik orang tua sebesar 0,930, sedangkan skala motivasi berprestasi akademik sebesar 0,873 yang menunjukkan realibilitas sangat tinggi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis korelasional menurut Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara dukungan sosial akademik orang tua dengan motivasi berprestasi akademik pada siswa KKO di SMA Negeri 4 Yogykaarta dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,513 dengan signifikansi 0,000, artinya semakin tinggi dukungan sosial akademik orang tua maka semakin tinggi motivasi berprestasi akademik dan sebaliknya semakin rendah dukungan sosial akademik orang tua maka semakin rendah pula motivasi berprestasi akademiknya.

Abstract
This research aims to investigate the positive correlations between the parents’ social support on academic and the academic achievement motivation of the students of sport program class (KKO) in SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. The research employed a quantitative approach with a co-relational method. The subjects of the research were 44 students from sport program class (KKO), which consist of 26 students from 10th grade and 18 students from 11th grade. The subjects of the research were determined by taking populations from the students of sport program class. The data collection technique of this research was using questionnaires. The research instrument was the scale of the parents’ social support and students’ achievement motivation. The validity instrument was conducted by using product moment formulas, whereas the reliability instrument was reached by using Alpha Cronbach formulas in which the scale of parents’ social support was in the level 0,930, whereas the scale of students’ achievement motivation was in the level 0,870 which indicate the high level of reliability. The technique of data analysis used in this research was by using Spearman’s correlation analysis. The result of the research shows that there are positive and significant correlations between parents’ social support and the academic achievement motivation of the student of sport program class in SMA Negeri Yogyakarta; that is 0,513 corelation coefficient with 0,000 level significances. It means that the higher parents’ social support on academic will result on the higher academic achievement motivation of the students. Conversely, the lack of parents’ social support on academic will cause the lower students’ academic achievement motivation.
