Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine 1) the level of coping with adolescent stress, 2) the level of subjective well-being of adolescents, and 3) the relationship between stress coping with the subjective well-being of adolescents. This study used a quantitative approach and the type use correlation research. This research was population research. The research subjects were 139 students of grade XI in school x. The data collection techniques used coping stress scale and subjective well-being scale. The instrument validity test used the Pearson Product Moment and the reliability test used the Cronbach Alpha with coeficient value of 0,816 on the coping stress and 0,905 on the subjective well-being. The hypothesis test used the Pearson Product Moment correlation.

The results showed that: (1) 22 students (15,8%) had low level coping stress, 76 students (54,6%) had moderate level of coping stress, and 41 students (29,5%) had high level of coping stress; (2) 21 students (15,1%) had low level of subjective well-being, 78 students (56,1%) had moderate level of subjective well-being, and 40 students (28,8%) had high subjective well-being; (3) there was a positive and significant relationship between coping stress with the subjective well-being school x with the correlation coefficient (𝑟𝑥𝑦)of 0,304
