TINGKAT PENGATURAN DIRI DALAM BIDANG AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DI UNIVERSITAS NEGERI YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengaturan diri dalam bidang akademik (academic
self-management) pada mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta tahun ajaran
2014-2015. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif menggunakan jenis penelitian
survey. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Negeri
Yogyakarta yakni angkatan tahun 2011, 2012, 2013, dan 2014 yang berada pada semester VIII, VI, IV, dan
II yang masih aktif dalam perkuliahan dengan ukuran populasi 440 mahasiswa. Teknik penentuan sampel
menggunakan stratified quota random sampling sehingga diperoleh ukuran sampel 151 mahasiswa. Metode
pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu skala pengaturan diri dalam bidang akademik (academic selfmanagement).
Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas logis dengan menitikberatkan pada expert
judgement. Reliabilitas skala menggunakan analisis uji reliabilitas alpha cronbach. Hasil reliabilitas skala
pengaturan diri dalam bidang akademik (academic self-management) sebesar 0,950. Penelitian ini
menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan diri
dalam bidang akademik (academic self-management) mahasiswa Bimbingan dan Konseling di Universitas
Negeri Yogyakarta sebanyak 52 mahasiswa (34,4%) memiliki academic self-management pada kategori
tinggi, sebanyak 99 mahasiswa (65,6%) memiliki academic self-management pada kategori sedang, dan
academic self-management pada kategori rendah tidak ada. Dengan demikian sebagian besar mahasiswa
Bimbingan dan Konseling di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta memiliki pengaturan diri dalam bidang
akademik (academic self-management) cenderung sedang.

Abstract
The objective of this research is to knowing the level of self-management in the academic field
(academic self-management) to the students of Guidance and Counseling in State University of Yogyakarta
period 2014-2015. The approach in this research was quantitative descriptive which used survey type
research. The subjects of this research were the students of Guidance and Counseling State University of
Yogyakarta period of 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 who were in the semester of VIII, VI, IV, and II who were
still active in the learning activities in the college with the population of 440 students. The technique to
determine the samples in this research used stratified quota random sampling, so it is obtained the number
of the samples 151 students. The method to collect the data was the scale of self-management in the
academic field (academic self-management). The instrument validity used logic validity that emphasizes the
expert judgment. The scale reliability used the analysis of reliability test alpha cronbach. The result of scale
reliability of self-management in the academic field (academic self-management) was 0,950. This research
used the technique of quantitative descriptive analysis. The result of this research shows that selfmanagement
in the academic field (academic self-management) to the students of Guidance and Counseling
in State University of Yogyakarta are 52 students (34,4%) categorize as high, 99 students (65,6%) categorize
as medium, and no one student categorizes as low. Thus, the level of self-management in the academic field
(academic self-management) of the students of Guidance and Counseling in State University of Yogyakarta
majority tends to medium.
