PERBEDAAN PROBLEM FOCUSED COPING ANTARA SISWA AKSELERASI DAN SISWA REGULER DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH 2 YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan problem focused coping antara siswa akselerasi dan reguler SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian komparatif dengan subyek siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta yang diambil dengan teknik disproporsionate stratified random sampling berjumlah 29 siswa reguler dan 12 siswa akselerasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala problem focused coping. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa terdapat perbedaan problem focused coping anatara siswa akselerasi dan siswa reguler dibuktikan dari hasil t-test dengan hasil nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,489 > dari 0,05. Selain itu, siswa kelas reguler memiliki problem focused coping lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa akselerasi. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai mean problem focused coping pada kelas reguler sebesar 96 masuk dalam kategori tinggi, sedangkan pada kelas akselerasi sebesar 88 termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

The purpose of this research was to know difference of problem focused coping beetween accseleration student and regular student in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta. This research is a comparative research with subjects taken VII grade students SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta with disproporsionate stratified random sampling techniques totaling 29 regular students and 12 students accseleration. The methods of collecting the data that were used in this research were problem focused coping scale. Data analysis technique that were used in this research was t-test. The research results show that there are difference of problem focused coping beetween accseleration student and regular student can be proved from t-test with significant of 0,489 > dari 0,05. In addition, regular students have more problem focused coping than students acceleration. This is proved from the mean problem focused coping in regular class for 96 in the high category, while in acceleration class for 88 in the moderate category.
