HUBUNGAN ANTARA KECERDASAN EMOSI DENGAN PERILAKU AGRESIF KELOMPOK SUPORTER SEPAK BOLA PSIM YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresif.  Dilakukan dengan  menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif  dengan  jenis  penelitian  korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adala suporter atau pendukung klub sepak bola PSIM Yogyakarta yang berjumlah kurang lebih 15.000 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik kuota sampling. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 350 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode skala, yaitu skala kecerdasan emosi dan skala perilaku agresif. Uji coba instrumen dilakukan pada 40 orang yang tergabung dalam komunitas suporter sepak bola dengan mendapatkan nilai koefisien reabilitas alpha ) sebesar 0,904 untuk variabel kecerdasan emosi dan 0,807 untuk variabel perilaku agresif, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji normalitas dan linearitas. Dari data  yang  didapat  kemudian dilakukan  analisis  dengan  menggunakan  analisis  korelasi  Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif antara kecerdasan emosi dengan perilaku agresif kelompok suporter sepak bola PSIM Yogyakarta dengan hasil analisis korelasi sebesar -0,222. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan hipotesis penelitian dapat diterima.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the correlation between emotional intelligence and aggressive behaviour of the aforementioned. This study used correlation research which belongs to quantitative approach. The population in this study were supporters or football fans of PSIM Yogyakarta, which numbered approximately 15.000 people. The sampling technique that used in this study was kuota sampling technique. The samples taken in this study were 350 people. Data collection technique used in this research was scale method, which are the scale of emotional intelligence and the scale of aggressive behaviour. The instrument trial was conducted on 40 people who were the members of the supporters community by getting alphareliability coefficients )  of 0.904 for emotional intelligence and 0.807 for aggressive behaviour. Then it followed by tests of normality and linearity. Analysis based on the data obtained was carried out by using Product Moment correlation analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and aggressive behaviour of the football supporters of PSIM Yogyakarta with the results of a correlation analysis of -0.222. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the research hypothesis can be accepted.
