UPAYA MENURUNKAN PROKRASTINASI AKADEMIK MELALUI KONSELING KELOMPOK TEKNIK SELF MANAGEMENT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses dalam konseling kelompok teknik self management sebagai upaya menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa skala prokrastinasi akademik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas instrument didapatkan 24 item valid dari jumlah semula sebanyak 32 item dan nilai reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,885 dan termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan adalah siswa mampu mencapai skor ≤ 48 atau berada dalam kategori rendah.Hasil penelitian tindakan menunjukkan bahwa : konseling kelompok teknik self management dapat menurunkan prokrastinasi akademik siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 2 siklus yang terdiri dari siklus ke I terdapat 4 kali tindakan dan siklus ke II terdapat 3 kali tindakan. Hasil rata-rata pre-test siswa sebesar 72,6 mengalami penurunan 23 pada post-test siklus ke I dan mengalami penurunan 8.6 pada post-test siklus ke II. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut berarti selalu ada penurunan setiap siklus.

Abstract
This study aims to know the process of group counseling using self management techniques as an effort to reduce academic procrastination of students in 11th IPS 1 grades of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. The method of this research is classroom action research. Based on the result of instrument validity test obtained 24 valid items from the original amount of 32 items and the value of Alfa Cronbach reliability of 0,885 and it is included in the high category. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. Indicator students of success is a score of ≤ 48 or in the low category. The results showed the group counseling using self management techniques can reduce academic procrastination in 11th IPS 1 grades of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. The research has been conducted 2 cycles which consist of first cycle was 4 times of the action and second cycle were 3 times of the action. The average pre-test of students is 72.6, then decreased by 23 in first cycle and in the second cycle by 8,6. Based on the result of this research it is concluded that the group counseling with self management technique reduced students academic procrastination.
