THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM USING VB.NET FRAMEWORK IN INDONESIAN TRAINING CENTRE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA IN SINGAPORE

Abstract


This research is aimed to : (1) Design and develop Student Information System in accordance with the operational needs of Indonesian Training Centre (2) To know the feasibility level of Indonesian Training Centre Student Information System developed from effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction aspect. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with waterfall development model, which consists of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The development of this Information System using VB.Net framework, Microsoft Access Database, and Crystal Report. The tests conducted to determine the quality of information systems developed using aspects of Quality in Use (QinU) ISO 25010 based on end user (usability) stakeholders. This test uses three aspects which is effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction.
The results of this study are (1) Student Information System of Indonesian Training Centre developed using VB.Net framework, Crystal Report, and Microsoft Access database based on waterfall development model consisting of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. This information system requires only one kind of user who can manage the entire of the information system. (2) The testing results for Indonesian Training Centre Student Information System obtained effectiveness score reached 100% successful percentage (very high), efficiency test using AppTimer reached average response time of the information system is 2,473 seconds and showed level of user satisfaction to information system response time is (satisfied), and satisfaction testing obtained the level of user satisfaction of the information system reached 91,33% (very satisfied).
