DEVELOPMENT OF INDONESIAN-JAVANESE LANGUAGE TRANSLATOR APPLICATION ON ANDROID BASED PLATFORM

Abstract

Some students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta have not been able to use Javanese speech levels correctly. In other side, most students have Android smartphones. The aims of this research were: (1) developing Indonesian-Javanese translator application with Javanese speech levels on Android based platform, and (2) to find out the quality of Indonesian-Javanese translator application based on ISO 25010 software quality testing which includes functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, usability, reliability, and material content. Research method applied were Research and Development (R&D) using waterfall development model which consist of: (1) analyzis, (2) design, (3) implementation, and (4) testing. The results of this research were: (1) development of Indonesian-Javanese translator application on Android based platform using Android Studio, and (2) the results of application quality testing obtained value 100% for functional suitability (Very Good), performance efficiency obtained scale of quality “Good”, compatibility obtained quality scale “Good”, usability obtained 80,04% (Good), reliability obtained 100% (Very Good), and material content testing of this application obtained 100% (Very Good).
