Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) peran Yayasan PIRI dalam pemenuhan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, pelaksana manajemen sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan, dan pembiayaan; (2) peran Yayasan PIRI dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sarana dan prasarana, pengelolaan, dan pembiayaan pada program keahlian TITL di SMK PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisi data meliputi (1) reduksi, (2) unitasi dan kategorisasi, (3) penyajian, (4) penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) yayasan berwenang memilih dan menentukan kepala sekolah, menentukan wakil kepala sekolah, ketua program keahlian, dan kepala tata usaha atas usulan sekolah; memberikan kebijakan kepala sekolah untuk menentukan posisi tenaga kependidikan lainnya dan melakukan seleksi calon pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; (2) Yayasan memberikan pelatihan untuk pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; ikut mencarikan dana khibah dan membantu dari DPP (Dana Pembangunan Pendidikan); melakukan pengawasan dan ikut serta pembentukan visi, misi, tujuan, dan rencana kegiatan; menentukan jumlah tarikan uang peserta; mengalokasikan DOP (Dana Operasional Pendidikan) dan DPP (Dana Pengembangan Pendidikan); serta penentuan RAPBS (Rencana Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Sekolah).

Abstract
The purposes of this study are to find out: (1) the role of the PIRI foundation in fulfilling educators and educational staff, operational management of facilities and infrastructure, daily operation, and finance; (2) the role of the PIRI foundation in improving quality of educators and educational staff, operational management of facilities and infrastructure, daily operation, and finance on electrical power installation engineering expertise program at SMK PIRI 1 Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis consists of (1) reduction, (2) categorization and unitization, (3) presentation, (4) concluding and verification. The results of this study are: (1) the foundation has the authority to select and determine the principal, vice principal, head of the expertise program, and head of administration referred to school authorities’ suggestions; give the power to the principal to decide others educational staff and to do the selection of prospective educators and educational staff; (2) the foundation provides training for educators and educational staff, participates in raising funding and supports school financially which is taken from educational development funding; monitors and takes a part in plotting the vision, mission, goals, and action plans; participates in determining the amount of admission fee, allocates operational funding of education and educational development funding; and participates in planning school gaining and spending budget.Keywords: foundation, standards national of education, education.
