CULTIVATING CHARACTER VALUES THROUGH SCOUTING EXTRACURRICULAR IN MAN 1 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

This research aimed to reveal process of cultivating character values through scouting extracurricular in MAN 1 Yogyakarta. This research is a descriptive research study using a qualitative approach. This research conducted at MAN 1 Yogyakarta, with the subject consisting of vice headmaster, scouting desolators, and ambalan council. The data were collected by interview, observation, and  documentation. The data validity was checked by a data and source triangulation technique. The data analysis conducted qualitatively by data reduction, data display, and conclution drawing. The research results showed that process of cultivating character values through  scouting extracurricular observe planning stage, preparation, until evaluation that in inside stow character values through interesting activity, challenging, and recreative. Cultivating character values in MAN 1

Yogyakarta  found  out  many  backing  from  cultural  school,  school  program,  and  fasility  of  the available. And what is more, there are obstacles  in activity implementation such as, low interest from students, students characteristic different, and under firmness from scouting desolators.
