COMPARISON STUDY OF CITIZENSHIP COMPETENCIES IN CURRICULUM 2006 DAN 2013 FOR THE LEVEL OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL (SMP)

Abstract


ABSTRAK

This study aims to: first, describe the citizenship competencies in Curriculum 2006 and 2013 for the level of Junior High School (SMP). Second, describe the similarities and differences citizenship competencies in Curriculum 2006 and 2013.

This research is a content analysis study (content analysis) and the approach used is qualitative. The research object were Curriculum 2006 document set out in Permendiknas Nomor 22 Tahun 2006 tentang Standar Isi untuk Satuan Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah and Curriculum 2013 document set out in Permendikbud Nomor 58 Tahun tentang Kurikulum 2013 SMP/MTs. The data were collected through documentation and interviews. The data were analyzed through content analysis. The data trustworthiness was enhanced by the data cross check.  

The research findings show that: first, citizenship competencies in Curriculum 2006 unwritten explicitly and unclassified as those in Curriculum 2013. Observed by examining operational verb (KKO), Curriculum 2006 contains 66.67% civic knowledge, 28.89% civic disposition, and 4.44%, civic skills. Whereas 2013 contains 31.75% civic knowledge, 28.57% civic disposition, and 39.68% civic skill. Second, the similarity between citizenship competencies in Curriculum 2006 and those in 2013 was a percentage of civic disposition almost same, 28.89% and 28.57%. The difference, Curriculum 2006 was dominated by 66.67% of civic knowledge, while Curriculum 2013 was dominated by 39.68% of civic skills.
