PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN WALLCHART TERHADAP KOMPETENSI MENJAHIT CELANA ANAK PADA SISWA KELAS X SMK KARYA RINI YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1)mengetahui kompetensi menjahit celana anak pada kelas yang tidak
menggunakan wallchart siswa SMK Karya Rini, 2)mengetahui kompetensi menjahit celana anak pada kelas yang
menggunakan wallchart siswa SMK Karya Rini, 3)membuktikan pengaruh wallchart terhadap kompetensi
menjahit siswa SMK Karya Rini. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi-Eksperimental dengan desain posttest only
control groub design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes unjuk kerja. Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas
konstruk dengan pertimbangan pendapat judgement expert dan reabilitas instrumen dengan Alpha Cronbach.
Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, pengujian hipotesis dengan t-test. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan: (1)kompetensi menjahit celana anak pada kelas yang tidak menggunakan wallchart sebanyak 13
anak (59,1%) tidak tuntas, 9 siswa (40,9%) tuntas, nilai tertinggi 80,terendah 62 dan rata-rata 70.9, (2)kompetensi
menjahit celana anak pada kelas yang menggunakan wallchart sebanyak 22 siswa (100%) tuntas, nilai tertinggi 90,
terendah 76, dan rata-rata 80.9, (3)terdapat pengaruh wallchart terhadap kompetensi menjahit siswa perhitungan

This study aimed to: 1)find out the competency of sewing children’s pants among the students of the
control class at SMK Karya Rini, 2)find out the competency of sewing children’s pants among the students of the
experimental class at SMK Karya Rini, and 3)prove the effect of the use of the wall-chart on the competency of
sewing children’s pants among the students of SMK Karya Rini. This was a Quasi-Experimental study using the
posttest only control group design. The data were collected through observations and performance tests. The
instrument validity was assessed by expert judgment and the reliability by Cronbach’s Alpha. The data were
analyzed by the descriptive analysis technique, the hypothesis testing used the t-test. The results of the study
showed that: (1)regarding the competency of sewing children’s pants among the students of the control class 13
students (59,1%) did not attain the mastery and 9 students (40,9%) attained the mastery with the highest score of
80, the lowest score of 62, and a mean score of 70.95; (2)regarding the competency of sewing children’s pants
among the students of the experimental class, 22 students (100%) attained the mastery with the highest score of 90,
the lowest score of 76, and a mean score of 80.90; and (3)there was an effect of the use of the wall-chart on the
competency of sewing children’s pants; the t-test yielded t

wall-chart has a positive effect and can improve the competency of sewing children’s pants.
