PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA MODUL SULAM MANIK BAGI SISWA KELAS X SMK MUHAMMADIH BERBAH

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Mengembangkan modul sulaman manik bagi siswa kelas X SMK
Muhammadiyah Berbah, 2) Mengetahui kelayakan modul sulaman manik bagi siswa kelas X SMK
Muhammadiyah Berbah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development).
Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penelitian dan pengembangan dari Borg and Gall yang telah disederhanakan
oleh TIM Puslitjaknov. Tahap-tahap dalam penelitian ini adalah : 1) Analisis kebutuhan produk, 2)
Mengembangkan produk awal, 3) Validasi dan revisi, 4) Uji coba kelompok kecil, 5) Uji coba kelompok besar dan
produk akhir. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan pada Agustus – September, subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa
dari kelas X di SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara,
teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini berupa : 1) Pengembangan modul
dilakukan dengan 5 tahapan, yaitu : analisis kebutuhan, pengembangan produk awal, validasi dan revisi, uji coba
kelompok kecil, uji coba kelompok besar dan produk akhir. 2) Modul dinyatakan layak untuk uji coba setelah
modul divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, berdasarkan hasil uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan ahli media
modul termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak dengan presentase kelayakan 100%. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil
diperoleh hasil modul dalam kategori “Sangat Layak” dengan skor 512, dan nilai presentase 85,33% dari 6
responden. Sedangkan untuk uji coba kelompok besar dengan diperoleh skor total 1350, dan nilai presentase
84,375%, dengan 16 responden. Sehingga modul sulam layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pembuatan
hiasan busana di SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah.

This study aimed to: 1) develop a bead embroidery module for Grade X students of SMK Muhammadiyah
Berbah, and 2) investigate the appropriateness of the developed module. This was a research and development
study. It used Borg and Gall’s research and development procedure simplified by a team at the Center for Policy
and Innovation Studies. The steps in this study were: 1) product needs analysis, 2) preliminary product
development, 3) validation and revision, 4) small-group tryout, and 5) large-group tryout and final product. The
study was was conducted in August-September. The research subjects were 22 students of Grade X of SMK
Muhammadiyah Berbah. The data were collected through observations and interviews. They were analyzed by the
descriptive analysis technique. The results of the study were as follows. 1) The module development was carried
out in 5 stages, i.e.: needs analysis, preliminary product development, validation and revision, small-group tryout,
and large-group tryout and final product. 2) The module is declared eligible for the test after the module is
validated by the material expert and the media expert, based on the validity test results by the material expert and
the media expert belonging to the very category with 100% feasibility percentage. The results of small group
tryout obtained module results in the category of "Very Eligible" with a score of 512, and 85.33% percentage of the
score of 6 respondents. While for large group tryout with obtained a total score of 1350, and the percentage of
84.375%, with 16 respondents. Therefore, the embroidery module was very appropriate to be used as learning
media making fashion decoration in SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah.
